Boston Wedding Photographer, Martin Haseman bio picture

About Me

I'm Martin and I'm a big softy. I love my wife more than I could ever have imagined. And my little girl breaks my heart when she looks into my eyes. I just want to hold her tight.

I love meeting people and love making them happy. I get embarrassed easily and get the reddest cheeks ever. When I make a silly voice my eyes water.

I cry at amazing movie moments. Yeah I know I'm not supposed to admit that.

I was born and raised in England and still have the accent. I've lived in London, Barcelona, Paris, Normandy, Palo Alto, San Mateo, San Francisco, Boston and New Hampshire. I've moved a lot but I'm pretty much done.

I don't know anyone famous but I've met quite a few. I have some funny stories and maybe I'll share some with you.

Corinne and Andrew: Engaged

Wow the weather last week and into the weekend was awesome! I have to keep remembering that it’s only March and we could still get snow for another month or so.
Saturday was amazing though. It was so nice to feel temps in the 70’s again. Luckily for Corinne and Andrew, we reserved Saturday for their...

Model Photo Shoot

Simon Gerzina, a New York-based fashion photographer, ran the workshop and he was awesome. Simon first demonstrated some fundamental lighting setups and talked about the how’s and why’s. He then had the attendees customize the...

Why Adding a Second Shooter Sometimes Makes Sense

You’re booking me to photograph your wedding. Why add a second shooter? There are several reasons why adding a second shooter is a smart thing to do for certain weddings.
Reason 1: More Relaxed Wedding Day Timing. A single photographer can’t be in two places at once. That’s fine if your wedding, reception and lodgings are...

Sisters in the Snow

For those of you who know me well, you’ll know that it’s my birthday right before Christmas. We had a nasty snow storm that morning but I’d committed to doing a photo shoot for Jen and Julie who wanted some shots of themselves to give their parents for Christmas. Jen and Julie don’t get together...

Beautiful Baby Blues

Over the holidays I had the chance to photograph little George and his family. George has the most arresting baby blues and those matched with his blonde hair are going to ensure he’ll break a few hearts when he’s older. George is a really good-natured kid coming up on his first birthday and his parents...

I had a great day yesterday working with Bernice and Art for their engagement shoot. We all drove up to Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH where they met as students. The town of Hanover and the campus is gorgeous. We visited some places around the school that are special to the couple. While we were there...

Family holiday portrait

Getting a lovely shot of the family for holiday cards is so very important. Sure you can grab your camera and do one yourself, but after a special arrival of their new baby, this family decided to do something more professional.
Using studio lighting, we set this shot up in a few minutes and luckily I...

Family photo shoot in Newport

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing two families at once while they visited the gorgeous Newport area. It was a beautiful Fall day, bright and sunny and quite windy at times. We had a great morning shooting at several locations including the Salve Regina campus and some local parks and properties. The kids were...
