Allison and Aaron’s wedding was magical. The couple live in New York and planned their wedding from afar in the historic Concord, MA town. Even though it was mid-November, the day felt like a gorgeous late fall New England day. There was a nip in the air, but the light and colors were playing nice for us.

Allison had thought about every detail. From the invitations, to the table decorations, to the flowers… everything was individual, eclectic, and fascinating.

We met at the historic Colonial Inn for getting ready pictures. Then we met Aaron at the Old North Bridge where Allison and Aaron had a ‘first look’ followed by pictures with their close families. And then the ceremony and celebration afterwards was at the Old Scout House in Concord. The reception was made even more special by incredible food from Tastings catering.

The whole day was wonderful and a fabulously successful end to Allison and Aaron’s intense planning. Congratulations!

Next year and moving forwards, I am offering Brides traditional film photography as an option. I shoot mainly in medium format which produces the most beautiful negatives. Emily works with the Wedding Belle wedding planning group based in Dover, NH, and we met a few years ago at a wedding we were both working at. Since then we have worked together a couple of times a year and I was both proud and honored that Emily chose me to shoot her own wedding.

In the summer I met Spencer for the first time during their engagement shoot. I could tell immediately that they were the happiest couple and so much in love… it was adorable.

Emily and Spencer’s wedding was an amazing day. The girls got ready at the reception site, the gorgeous Red Lion Inn Resort in Cohasset, MA. The boys all met at Spencer’s family home in Duxbury. Then we all met for the ceremony and afterwards, we drove to Duxbury beach for pictures before heading back to the Red Lion Inn Resort for the reception party. The day went off without a hitch thanks to Leslie Barbini and her team of Wedding Belles.

I photographed this family session entirely on film… both medium format (645) and 35mm. I had my digital gear with me in the car if I felt something had gone wrong. But it didn’t. We had a great session and I love these guys. What a fabulous family and what an amazing location!

We met for a mini-engagement session during a visit to their wedding site venue,  Wright’s Mill Farm.

The session started out fine, but then turned a little strange… Oh yeah, I should probably explain. Kris writes horror stories (check out his amazon link), and they’re both into the Wild West. Bringing everything together was a blast! I can’t wait for the wedding guys!!

And Cora was never to be seen again..  well until later when they drove home together

The wedding day started early with everyone getting ready. Bernice was in her family home with all the girls and many family members. Art and the guys stayed in Boston at the Taj. Once the guys were dressed, they headed over to Bernice’s family home for ‘door games.’ After they paid their way in (using all the cash they had to buy off the Bridesmaids) they all had to complete several mental and physical tests to showcase why Art was worthy of Bernice’s hand in marriage.

Then there was a traditional Chinese tea ceremony for the families before everyone stepped out into the most humid and hot day of the year so far. Everyone traveled back to Boston and the service was in the historic and amazing Arlington Street Church. Cocktails followed atop the Taj on the roof deck and then everyone headed to the main reception at the China Palace Banquet Hall.

The day was fabulous and both Sheryl and I enjoyed being part of such an incredible wedding. Congratulations to Bernice and Art!

Tami and Gahiji found me at the Fenway Bridal Festival last year. We kept in touch and met in the Fall. When they visited the studio, we were meeting and doing the normal yada yada stuff when Gahiji spotted a canvas print of one of my images and recognized the couple, Laura and Damon, who got married last year on Squirrel Island in Maine. We all laughed and agreed it’s SUCH a small world sometimes. They booked me right after. We had a blast during their engagement session recently and if that’s any indication, the wedding will be awesome! Can’t wait to be there guys!

We did the session by the river that runs past my studio building in Nashua, NH. It’s in the old Mill district, built in the 1890’s. Pretty cool!

To finish up the session we went inside and worked a little in the studio.

And finally we got a little silly and tried to recreate when Tami and Gahiji met. He was a bouncer in a nightclub and was standing on a milk crate watching for trouble. Little did he know the trouble he’d get himself into! These guys are awesome and I can’t wait to be there at the wedding. Take care!
