Boston Wedding Photographer, Martin Haseman bio picture

About Me

I'm Martin and I'm a big softy. I love my wife more than I could ever have imagined. And my little girl breaks my heart when she looks into my eyes. I just want to hold her tight.

I love meeting people and love making them happy. I get embarrassed easily and get the reddest cheeks ever. When I make a silly voice my eyes water.

I cry at amazing movie moments. Yeah I know I'm not supposed to admit that.

I was born and raised in England and still have the accent. I've lived in London, Barcelona, Paris, Normandy, Palo Alto, San Mateo, San Francisco, Boston and New Hampshire. I've moved a lot but I'm pretty much done.

I don't know anyone famous but I've met quite a few. I have some funny stories and maybe I'll share some with you.

Alexis and Beau Wedding Pictures

For all who attended Alexis and Beau’s beautiful wedding recently, I wanted to let you know that the wedding galleries are now live. You can reach the galleries by clicking HERE. The password should be obvious. If it’s not just let me know.

Here are a few shots from the wedding day. Alexis dressed and got ready in the same room she grew up in, overlooking a gorgeous lake. Gotta love the Canon 85L 1.2 for its creamy bokeh. I think it’s perfect for this type of image, shot wide open using the window light.

I always try and focus on the  guys getting ready too, when time permits. Here’s one of Beau as he’s starting to get ready. Here I used the 24-70 2.8 and lit him with a medium softbox.

Alexis dressed Ryker in the cutest little tux I’ve ever seen. Ryker was teething and was grumbling a little but all in all he did well. Again shot with the 85L 1.2 using natural light only. That lens sucks in the light so beautifully.

Here’s a grab shot of Ryker watching Alexis and her father walking down to the ceremony area. He was nervous with all the grown ups watching but made the perfect ring bearer.

And lastly here are a couple of Photo Booth images just for laughs. The booth was hugely popular and at times had over a dozen people in it at one time. It was a great crowd and we were all laughing non-stop.

Great fun! Finally thanks to Alexis and Beau for trusting me with their wedding coverage. I had a great time and everyone really made me feel part of the family. And hopefully I’ll see everyone again soon when the next family wedding comes up. Cheers!

November 10, 2009 - 11:00 pm Amy - Martin did a great job - so great that Steve and I hired him to do our wedding in May!

November 11, 2009 - 8:48 am martin - Thanks Amy. I can't wait. It'll be great to see everyone again! Cheers :)

November 12, 2009 - 5:09 pm Adam Black - These pictures are awesome. Professional, innovative and creative. The eye behind the camera has really caught moments to last a life time. Wish he did my wedding!!!

November 12, 2009 - 6:14 pm Ed Stanislawski - OK, I am the guy that kept getting in Martin's way at the wedding trying to take pictures myself (and I was the justice of the peace that day). I know a little about photography (took about 1000 pictures at the wedding including setup and next day)... but I must tell you Martin's pictures are incredible! He was so unimposing that we barely knew he was there. But when the pictures came… he really captured the feelings we were experiencing while we were there and recorded them forever. I have never been so impressed with a photographer in my life! And I have had two of my children married in the last five years. Excellent work Martin … thanks!

November 12, 2009 - 6:34 pm Aaron Wong - Martin did an amazing job and didn't stop taking photos even while it rained. And he did one of the best photo booths I have ever experienced at a wedding or anywhere. Congratulations again to Alexis and Beau!!!!!!!!!!

November 12, 2009 - 6:35 pm Travis Witherspoon - The photos Martin took are priceless. The photographers my wife and I hired for our wedding were completely bogus; they rushed us, overcharged, and we were totally unhappy with the product. Martin was courteous to us guests and really fun on the dance floor...not to mention he gets amazing high-kick shots!

November 12, 2009 - 8:08 pm martin - Thanks Adam, Ed, Aaron and Travis. It was great meeting you all, and Ed... please don't worry, you were never really in the way. Besides, just imagine if I elbowed you in the ribs and you ended up in the reservoir... I would have had to marry them too! And Travis... I'll work on my high kick shots for next time. Cheers all!

November 12, 2009 - 10:01 pm Richard - I think Martin did an outstanding job. He had a great number of pictures; many were not the "usual pose" that many photographers take. He captured the bride and groom (and others) as they really are and as we see them. I would not hesitate to refer him to potential brides and grooms.

November 13, 2009 - 1:59 am MelissaP - Even though we weren't there, we experienced the wedding through your photos. Ma was so touched that she cried through the whole slideshow. They were poignant, and captured the essence of each person so beautifully.

November 16, 2009 - 11:28 am Judy Spratt - I can't thank you enough for capturing the true essence of Beau and Alexis's Wedding Day. The photos truly tell a wonderful story. You did an incredible job! See you at the next family wedding in May.

December 2, 2009 - 9:29 pm Jess - Love the pics! Can't believe how great they all came out! Can't wait for the next wedding in May! :)
